Solution: Two (or more) heads are always better than one and many educators have begun working in PLC's to improve their instruction and effect student learning. While there are a number of printed resources, video has the advantage of demonstrating a strategy being implemented live in a classroom and provides the ability to stop, rewind and review. That's where the Teaching Channel can help.
Viewing any of the videos is completely free but, if you sign up for a free account, you'll have some additional benefits.
- Take notes while viewing - adding a note at any point in the video timestamps that note and you'll be able to review them later by visiting your Workspace.
- Share your notes - this allows you to share your thoughts with other members of your PLC or others you've connected with on the Teaching Channel site.
- Post questions or comments - this will allow you to interact and share ideas about applying what you've learned with any other viewers.
- My Workspace - in addition to saving notes from a video, when you save to your workspace you'll be able to set a date for using the strategy in your own classroom as well as set a reminder.
